The short version

• • Our bill audit runs entirely in your browser. The rate and usage you enter are used to do the math on your device — they are never sent to our servers, and we never see them.
• • Email alerts aren't active yet — we are not collecting email addresses at this time. When we launch them, signup will be opt-in only.
• • Our host, Cloudflare, processes basic technical data (such as your IP address) to deliver and protect the site.
• • We never sell, rent, or share your data for advertising, and we take zero supplier commissions.

What we collect, and why

Bill-audit inputs: none are collected. The audit is a client-side tool; your supplier rate, usage, and results stay on your device and are discarded when you close the page.

Email alerts (not yet active): the rate-alert signup is currently turned off while we finish setting it up, so we are not collecting email addresses right now. When alerts launch, signup will be opt-in with double opt-in confirmation, one-click unsubscribe in every message, and a published mailing address as anti-spam law requires.

Hosting & security (Cloudflare): we use Cloudflare, Inc. as our CDN and security provider. Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and request metadata to deliver and protect the site, acting as our service provider.

Analytics: we currently run no third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or cross-site cookies. If we add privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics later, we'll name the tool here.

What we don't do

We don't sell or share your data with electricity suppliers or data brokers, we don't run intrusive ad trackers, and we never send you to a supplier for a referral fee. We are not a utility, a supplier, or a government agency.

Data retention

Bill-audit inputs are never stored — they stay on your device. We are not currently collecting subscriber emails; once alerts launch, we'll keep an email only until you unsubscribe. Cloudflare retains technical logs for a limited period under its own policies.

Your privacy rights

Several states we serve — including Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, and Delaware — give residents rights to access, correct, or delete the personal data a business holds, and to appeal a denial. Because we hold essentially no personal data today (the audit runs on your device and email signup is off), there's usually nothing to act on — but you can exercise these rights, or ask what we hold, any time at [email protected]. We do not sell your personal data or share it for targeted advertising.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
